Another major man-made cause of global warming is population.
↑ Population → more mode of transportation → more burning of fossil fuels → more methane → increase rate of global warming.

Nowadays, many people own cars. However, they do not own just on car but many own more than one. They would have to pump petrol and petrol is created by burning fossil fuels.

↑ Population → more food → more rearing of animals (e.g. cows) → more manure → more methane → increase rate of global warming.
Since the population is increasing, more animals are needed to feed the population. For example, cows are reared plentifully to create beef. Cows create more manure, which is a source of methane. Therefore it increases the rate of global warming.

Moreover, people need houses to stay in. Land is cleared in large scales. For example, Singapore was previously like a forest. Many trees were chopped down to create land for houses. On example is in Punggol. The forested land is cleared to build houses for the increasing population. Human naturally breathe in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide. The increasing population will lead to increased carbon dioxide in the air. Trees convert the carbon dioxide to oxygen. They act like natural air purifiers. Since these trees are being cut down, there are less natural air purifiers. Moreover, we are not replacing the trees and they are very important in our eco-system. We are constantly taking advantage of our natural resources and giving nothing back in return.
